All Gone Surfing Hawaii lessons start on the sand with ocean awareness and safety. Then we get you right into the surf for a rush of wind and waves. No worries, our licensed instructors are trained in first aid and lifeguard CPR. Once in the water, we show you how to read the waves, position your take off, and the etiquette of wave riding. Whether you’re a one-on-one type or you prefer fun with friends, our customized lessons are built to make your adventure on the waves one to remember.

After a lot of deliberation considering all pros (fun, new experience) and cons (being eaten by a shark) we decided to do it! We booked 8am class which was a great was start to our day especially since our flight was leaving at 8:45pm the same night. After a quick safety brief and basics associated with turning the board and standing up on the board we hit the waves! Our instructor Shawn was awesome! Very chill, patient and super helpful...without him we wouldn't catch any waves. With his help both me and my wife caught at least few good waves and had some epic, fun flops :) Also he was "towing" us around which apparently is only done at this location to make sure everybody has a great experience. Shawn you rock my man! If you are booking directly through their website they have some hilarious options you can pick for your answers which added to the fun experience. Definitely do and try some surfing...it's a workout for your arms but it's worth it. Also if you want pictures make sure to book in advance as the photographer might focus on other people who booked his services and you might end up without any pics of your awesome rides.

We did private surf lessons with Gone Surfing and loved it. Two of our family members were hesitant to go as we had rough surfing experiences on earlier vacations in Costa Rica and Puerto Rico, but we enjoyed this so much we booked lessons again for two days later. We have two boys- 15 & almost 13- and it was perfect for them. Waikiki waves were great as were our guides- Trevor, Serge, and Caz. Guides were completely engaged and gave us great coaching (camera man gave us great tips as well). We got the photo package as well- ton of great shots. Overall, highly recommended and would do it again.

We have been coming to Waikiki every year for the past nine years. My daughter has taken lessons all up and down Waikiki and Diamond Head. This has been the best place for lessons by far. Even though she can surf on her own now, she still takes at least one lesson with Serg every year and he teaches her something new. Trevor is another good instructor there. If you book with one of these two, Serg or Trevor, you won’t be disappointed.
