Our instructor Justin was awesome. He was a great coach to our teen girls. Despite very little wind, and no waves they both got up on the board and had a true surf experience. Justin even spent extra time, I think about 30 minutes with us since the waves were few and far between. All around professional class act as prior to meeting he even called and offered to cancel/refund our money due to lack of waves. Never occurred to me prior that there’s no guarantee of waves when booking. Ha.! Seems obvious now but thankful he didn’t just take our money and have the kids float for the lesson. We decided to push the lesson back to a more favorable wind/tide and although we couldn’t control the waves, we had a few to work with and it was fine. I wanted to keep the lesson as the kids had their hearts set on this. Justin was patient and kind and very funny (said my teens). They had a great time and both got up on boards at least for a few seconds!

Great Surfing Experience! Awesome instructions, patient instructors and attention to detail made for a very enjoyable vacation experience. Our 10 year old, 12 year old, 18 year old and parents ALL learned to surf and had successful surfing runs!! We had So much Fun...we booked a second day!! Highly recommend Laguna Ethos!! Very knowledgeable about water sports in the area and Genuinely interested in you having a Great Experience!!

My girlfriend and I had our first ever surfing lessons with Jack as our instructor and we both loved it! The waves felt just right for total beginners, and Jack did an awesome job of explaining the basics of the technique. He was super accommodating of different comfort levels and gave instant feedback on how to improve. If you are totally new to surfing this will be a great experience for you!
