Situated in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, the Arkansas River threads its way through a vacationer's paradise. From the river's source in the beautiful Arkansas Valley with dramatic 14,000 foot peaks to the bottom of the Royal Gorge, the Arkansas has it all. This trip includes 6 hours of clear, crisp water crashing through the Granite Gorge, a river guide and all boating equipment: rain gear, drinking water and personal floatation device. Lunch is also provided on this full day adventure.

Our family -- two adults and an 11 year old boy and 15 year old girl -- went on our first whitewater rafting trip on Tuesday, June 26. My husband and I had experienced paddling canoes down tricky rivers, but the kids were total novices. Our guide, Matias Flores, did an excellent job of explaining the instructions he would be giving us. He did an excellent job of reading the river and telling us what we needed to do. He was also an excellent tour guide, and shared entertaining and educational information about the sights we were seeing. We successfully navigated all. Of the Type I, II and III rapids. Matias was great with our kids and was friendly and courteous at all times. We had SO much fun and we WILL be back.

We had Will and two new guides on our afternoon run down Brown's Canyon. Very safety minded and caring, and as experienced kayakers, we appreciated the details and attention. The run was handled expertly and we had a lot of laughs all the way.
