We are sorry to hear you had trouble finding the check-in area. We have signage all throughout the park, but we will work on making it more visible.
Each seat of the boat should be the same for viewing since the captain stops throughout the tour, and allows each person to see the wildlife. We are sorry you didn’t feel you had the same view as the others on the boat.
The captains give some information, but most of their information will come from customer interaction. They like to let the customers guide what it is they want to know. Hopefully, he was able to answer all your questions.
