The Sonoma Food Tour experience takes guests on a guided journey of local eateries, all within the quaint walking environment of the Sonoma Plaza. You’ll get to taste Sonoma's regional cuisine, California Mexican food, local favorites, cheeses, olive oil, chocolates, wine and more. Each yummy tasting is served from locally-owned and operated restaurants, eateries & shops. You will explore Sonoma, California all while gaining knowledge about its history, culture and architecture, at the same time savoring the appetizing culinary selections. Your Sonoma Food Tour will last 3 hours, cover about 1.25 miles, and provides delicious tastings that are equivalent to a meal.

The selection of food and wine tasting stops was very well thought out and timed at a relaxing pace. There were plenty of opportunities to chat with folks and learn about how the local food products are made and prepared. I enjoyed meeting the third generation olive farmer who explained interesting details about his harvesting methods and then brought out some samples of soft Mozzarella cheese that he made. I like cheese and had several opportunities along the tour route to sample a nice variety. Our guide Mia lives in Sonoma and knows a lot about the town’s history and hot spots. She provided our group with several great recommendations for things to do and places to go out to eat and listen to music in the area. I will recommend this tour to friends, especially those that are visiting from out of town and want to experience a wide range of what Sonoma has to offer.

I have grown up in Sonoma and thought this would be a great way to experience Sonoma in a way I never have. Mia, our "head foodie," did an amazing job leading the tour and sharing some interesting, historical information, as well as providing samples of food and wine from the most sought after establishments. I walked away with my appetite satisfied and some new favorite spots that I will definitely come back to. This is a must on your visit to Sonoma and I highly recommend it!!

What a super fun way to spend my Saturday! Mia is a wonderful hostess and tour guide and she impressed me with her knowledge not only of the local foods and wines, but also Sonoma history! Where else can you sample first class California cuisine, locally made olive oils, cheeses, chocolates, and wine, stand on the spot where the California flag was first raised and pet draft horses on the way? I highly recommend this fun tour to anyone ready to be spoiled AND educated.
