Overview

This is a premier experience in the Marco Island area and is superb for the entire family... from toddlers to the grandparents. It is a personalized eco-adventure. Every day is different in the Everglades and 10,000 Islands so we try to be very flexible and dynamic. The tour may/will include a bit of birding, some photography, strolling thru tidal pools, shelling on a remote beach, exploration of one of the 10,000 Islands and a visit to the very tip of Southwest Florida - Cape Romano! The first part of the experience is a guided boating eco tour in search of the areas rich wildlife. The second part is an interpretive, guided walk on a remote barrier island to explore the island's beaches, tidal pools and inter-tidal zones. Absolutely the best shell collection opportunities in Florida!

What To Expect

Cape Romano

Meet your ground and guide and begin your 10,000 Island Experience. Each trip is led by an experienced Florida Master Naturalist who is certified by the National Park and licensed by the US Coast Guard. Learn about the area's history, cultures and it's ecosystems while searching for dolphins, manatees, snowy egrets, little blue herons, tricolor herons, rosette spoonbills, shore birds, black skimmers, terns, ospreys, eagles raptors and more. Enjoy shell collecting on a remote island beach...an island strewn with shells that is only reachable by boat. Have you picture taken at the famous Cape Romano Dome Homes!

The boat captain was very knowledgeable & nice, but the boat did not have a canopy for any sun protection, no water/drinks, towels or any amenities for a 3.5 hour tour, it was as basic as it gets for $139/person. The seating was a bit tight on hard metal benches, just no amenities for comfort. We would’ve chosen differently if we’d known this. The tour was beautiful though!

Hello, I am happy that you enjoyed the tour. You called as you were boarding and we discussed things. I asked you NOT to go on the tour, but you refused saying that "the kids are having great time". All guests are encouraged, in our confirmation emails, to bring whatever you wish to eat or drink. We cannot supply food due to insurance restrictions (allergies, etc.) As you know, snacks and drinks were available at the marina store as you brought none for you and the kids. It is a beautiful tour and a great part of your planet

Had so much fun! Worth every penny. Found the most awesome shells ever. The boat ride was fun, and the captain and guide were very informative. The beaches where we stopped at where insanely beautiful. Must do experience if you visit Marco

We had a great time! The Captain, Jeff, was awesome. Very nice guy and super knowledgeable about everything we saw. We saw all sorts of cool birds, he took us to a place where we found more cool shells than we have in two weeks! We saw dolphins and Jeff provided info on all of it. Highly recommended!
