My wife and I have done Segway tours in several cities including Austin, Washington DC, Philadelphia and just recently Atlanta. We find Segway tours to be a great way to visit the major attractions quickly and hear and see some of the history around each area. It ends up saving us a lot of time when it comes to sightseeing as well as gives us an idea of what areas we may want to do a follow-up visit with.
We very much enjoyed our ATL-Cruisers tour, we had a very large group of 15 people so it was divided up between between two tours...my group, 7 women and myself....yes what a treat for me...lol...We had the lovely, very energetic and knowledgeable Laura as our guide. She was amazing, spent the time giving us very detailed training in riding the segways and was just great in showing us and explaining the history of the area that we were in. We were both very impressed. Now for the training, having been on many, many segway tours, this group hands down puts on the best training we have had. Being an experienced rider, I still got a lot out of it.
I could only recommend one area for improvement that I think would add to the tour enjoyment - that would be one-way wireless headsets so the tour guide can talk and explain things as we are moving and the whole group could hear them. Other places have started doing this and it really makes for a great experience. I would highly recommend ATL-cruisers add this technology, its a low cost, low maintenance way of adding rider enjoyment.
