Folks,
If you are looking for something different coupled to a great experience and value for money then, please, please try these guys out. They are truly superb at what they do.
We were spending a week in Atlanta, with some resident friends, so have been to ATL many times and seen the majority of sights several times over the years i.e. Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola etc. but were looking for something we hadn't done before.
Whilst in ATL last year and spending a day downtown, noticed a bunch of people travelling along on Segways, I wondered what it was all about. And thought to myself I must find out.
So, this year, I checked it out and found ATL-Cruzers advertising tours. So we took a punt a booked with them.
Well........ I have to say it is possibly the best $59.00 (or £45 GBP - I'm British) that I have ever spent in ATL and I've been over here many times.
The whole experience was great, right from placing the online order, through the arrival and tour details and down to the tour itself.
You get about 30-40mins coaching which includes a safety video etc. and then, once they are confident you are competent enough to start the tour, off you go.
You'll be in a really small group, no more than about 8 max, and the tour lasts between 2 hrs - 2 hrs 30mins. You'll cover about 8 miles of the city and the guides really know their stuff.
Our guide 'John' was a really nice friendly chap, who had lived in ATL most of his life so really knew the city and all the sights and history etc. He took us to some really interesting sights and places, always making sure everyone in the group was OK. Always willing to answer questions and interact with us, great sense of humour too.
I have now found some new venues to visit which I honestly didn't know about before doing this tour and suddenly realised there is whole bunch of things I still need to see and do in downtown ATL.
In fact, next time we are back over to ATL, we'll 100% be booking the other tour that they offer to the Eastside.
If you do absolutely nothing else in ATL then please, please do this. You'll not regret it.
