I usually only post positive reviews on TA, but I felt this experience needed to be shared. I stumbled upon Brandon's website during a search for bike tours in Scottsdale to do for my father on his birthday (we were coming in from out of town). It looked more fun than renting traditional bikes so I gave the number a call. It went directly to Brandon's cell phone. Initially, he was very nice and accommodating, even excited to make the trip extra special for my dad's birthday. We agreed on the date/time. However, the first red flag was that he quoted me a different (and much higher!!) price than was advertised on his website. When I asked about it, his response was "Oh, is that still up there? It shouldn't be. I guess I can still do it for that." However, I felt it was a legitimate oversight. Over the next week, he would only communicate sporadically via text message and would claim he was "out on the trail" when I called. Again, I didn't really think twice about it as texting is fine with me. However, the final straw came when I received a text message at nearly 9pm the night before our 9am tour was scheduled - it read "I will be unable to perform your work tomorrow. I rented 3 of my bikes and they now will not be back on time." Now, I completely understand that s!*t happens, however my problem wasn't necessarily the cancellation, but the manner in which all communication was handled and the timing of same. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. At this point I had already told my dad about his BDay present and we were all pumped for the day and it left me with little to no time to find an alternative. Luckily I was able to find a traditional bicycle tour with some availability for us. I WILL NOT be using Brandon Buckles or recommending any of his companies (he claims to own several adventure tour companies in AZ) to anyone again - go somewhere else if you see/hear his name! As an alternative I highly recommend Arizona Outback Adventures - they were tremendous and great customer service!!

What a great way to cap off our week in Phoenix! The weather was perfect, and Brandon was a superb tour guide! It was just the three of us - Brandon, my wife and me - so we really got a personalized tour, which we appreciated. The bikes were fun and easy to operate, and the scenery in the desert was beautiful. Brandon shared all kinds of interesting information with us throughout the tour, so the ride was never dull. Well worth your time -- you'll have a blast!

We have done tours on foot, bicycle, horseback, bus, jeep and Segway but the sunset electric bike tour through the Sonoran Desert was our favorite by far!!! Our tour guide, Brandon was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the plant, animal, geology and native American history of the area and we learned a lot about all of them! Riding the electric bikes is a BLAST and the sunset in the desert experience was absolutely awesome!!! If you are in Phoenix or any of its surrounding areas - we STRONGLY recommend this tour.
