Not only will you be introduced to the great birding and wildlife in the area by your naturalists guide, you will also learn about the eco-systems, it rich heritage and long history.
Our tours are never "canned", so each tour is different. The area's wildlife move around in order to exist in their world and so must we. Many species are seasonal and inhabit different areas in different environmental conditions, so too, we must be able to adapt. Bring your cameras, binoculars, snacks, favorite drinks, hats, sunglasses and have a great time!!

What To Expect

TEN THOUSAND ISLANDS NWR

In comfortable captain's style seating an, you will be safely brought deep into the 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge for an interpretive tour of the area led by a Florida Master Naturalist. Depending on the season, you can expect to encounter manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, rosette spoonbills, as well as, numerous species of fish and shore birds as well as the opportunity to find amazing shells.

Fantastic way to spend part of a day. Had Capraon Joyce and First Mate Kim, both of whom were super pleasant and informative. Saw lots of dolphins, and Captain Joyce went the extra mile to make sure we got lots of time to watch them up close. First Mate Kim was super educated on different types of shells as we spent time on the beach building our collections. Highly recommend this excursion!

WOW! What an incredible 5 ⭐️ experience we had with CAPTAIN JOYCE & AMY!!!!!! So patient, so kind and Captain Joyce went out of her way to make sure we really got our money’s worth of sightseeing, shelling and knowledge of our tour. Highly recommended & P.S. girls do it best!!!

In spite of the weather not being the best we had a great time. The captain and first mate did a great job and were very knowledgeable. We had a great time with dolphins surfing behind the boat as well as getting to see a number of birds and a lizard pretty up close. The highlight though was the shelling something we have done many places over the years. Great small boat tour and fantastic staff!
