Not only will you be introduced to the great birding and wildlife in the area by your naturalists guide, you will also learn about the eco-systems, it rich heritage and long history.
Our tours are never "canned", so each tour is different. The area's wildlife move around in order to exist in their world and so must we. Many species are seasonal and inhabit different areas in different environmental conditions, so too, we must be able to adapt. Bring your cameras, binoculars, snacks, favorite drinks, hats, sunglasses and have a great time!!

What To Expect

TEN THOUSAND ISLANDS NWR

In comfortable captain's style seating an, you will be safely brought deep into the 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge for an interpretive tour of the area led by a Florida Master Naturalist. Depending on the season, you can expect to encounter manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, rosette spoonbills, as well as, numerous species of fish and shore birds as well as the opportunity to find amazing shells.

Had a great experience and wonderful time! My son had such a great time and the lady was extremely nice to him. She took him to the front of the boat to see the dolphins, after we was shelling she came back and gave him 3 different kinds of shells and told him what they was. Captain Ed was great as well he was extremely knowledgeable with the tour. There wasn’t one question that was asked they he didn’t know the answer too. I was looking forward to just shelling the most but being on this tour I enjoyed every minute of it. I would recommend this tour to anyone and next time we are in Florida I’ll definitely be going back!

We had an absolutely wonderful time! Captain Ed and 1st Mate Kim were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, fun, helpful, and wonderful. We saw dolphins, watched them play, learned about birds, and went shelling. Honestly, we are not that into birds, BUT the information was presented in such a great and interesting way. My kids (elementary and middle school aged) loved every minute. Thank you so much!

Excellent tour. Dolphins right by boat. Getting out and looking for shells on a little private island wonderful. Highly recommend. Any age !!! My 11 year old boys loved it !
