Guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We stopped often for pictures. Would recommend doing early on the vacation to get an overview of the different areas to explore more thoroughly.

Our family of 3 adults went on this tour in April 2021. The strength of guided tours hinges on the quality of the guide. Our guide was excellent. She had been a guide for several years. Apparently there is even an accreditation process for becoming a Gettysburg guide. Her passion for work showed in the information she shared and the details she was able to provide. The tour itself was structured well. It took us through chronologically by events that happened on each day of the war at Gettysburg. That helped the non-history buff follow along how events unfolded that fateful July in 1863. Of course the more you hear of it the more you wish she could have expanded on certain aspects of the war. There is only so much that can be done in 2 hours; and ours even ran over! From a logistical standpoint the bus picks you and drops you off at the same location. There are two pick up points - one at the tour office and the other at the visitor information center. The one knock against this tour was the lack of attention to COVID-19. Yes, the bus driver and the guide wore masks. However that was it. There was no sanitation of the bus between tours, no acknowledgement of the issue and no limit to the number of people on the bus. We drew some comfort in the fact that we were all vaccinated.

Thanks for the 4 star review. Glad you enjoyed the tour. As for the Lack of attention to COVID-19 that is not the case. As of April 1st 2021 we have equipped our enclosed coaches with HEPA UV-C air filtration units which kill 99.99% of viruses and bacteria in the air down to .3 microns protecting the passengers, driver and guides. Bus capacity is at 75% and the seating has been arranged that no unrelated parties share a row. Buses are cleaned/sanitized at the start of the day and high touch areas are sanitized by driver between tours. Further information on our COVID-19 policy is located on our website.

The entire battlefield was incredible. To actually see where and how the battles on the 3 separate days were strategized then fought, gives you a clear vision and meaning to the word bravery.
