Enjoy a unique kayaking experience on this Small-Group Guided Glass Bottom Kayak Eco Tour of Rock Springs in Florida. Begin your tour with a quick tutorial on basic paddle instructions and information about the tour ahead. Your kayak tour will last approximately 2 to 2.5-hours depending on the speed of our group and any wildlife we may see along the way. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop and take pictures at several of the picturesque stopping points along the way (there will even be a couple chances for you to get out and enjoy the refreshing Spring water!) The first half of the paddle will be upstream towards the headspring of Rock Springs and the second half will be a gentle coast back to our launch point. Be ready to learn unique facts about the area and spot the local nature and wildlife along the way. Animals you may see: turtles, birds, fish, otters, deer, alligators, and more!

Weight Restriction: 425 pounds per boat (two guests) and no more than 250 pounds per seat (individual)
For every minor participating, there needs to be an adult to accompany them within the kayak. Children must be at least 3yrs old to participate.
Each of our kayaks are tandem (made for 2 paddlers). However, the seats are removable and if you have an odd number of paddlers in your party we are able to accommodate the kayak as a single. Keep in mind, the same 250 pound PER person weight limit still applies even if taking a kayak as a single.

What To Expect

Rock Springs Run

We will start the tour at King's Landing and paddle into a unique part of Rock Springs Run known as "Emerald Cut". This portion of the waterway is a beautiful greenish/blue tint with tree canopies overhead. There's a hidden jump platform that we allow guests to take a leap from if they choose.

The glass bottom kayak was beautiful. Could see fish and plants through clear water. Rowing was chill and safe. Our guide Dani was helpful and friendly. Took many good pictures for us and gave us advice about próximo sites. Hope to come again!

This excursion was the perfect nontypical addition to my Orlando vacation! Before, Orlando used to be theme parks and Magic games, but this for this go around, we decided to make the trip out to Apopka and enjoy the crystal clear springs Florida has to offer. Despite being first time kayakers, we found the tour to be quite easy going and our tour guide, Blane, to be super fun and helpful throughout. The spring was beautifully clear, and wonderfully rich in nature! I absolutely recommend checking this tour out if you've never had a similar experience, or are looking to spice up your own Orlando trip. I can definitely see myself coming back, maybe at a different spring or with new company!
