We had a delightful paddle with Alex through the Cypress Forest. It's an easy-to-do experience through the shade of the cypress and live oaks. Alex has a thorough knowledge of all the flora and fauna. He pointed out several species of birds, turtles, baby gators, and native flowers. He's also patient and attentive to the level of experience of the participants, doubling back to check on us and giving another couple some instruction on more advanced kayaking. A wonderful way to spend a morning away from the craziness of Orlando's theme parks. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend kayaking in the Cypress forest! The kayak trip itself is beautiful, and the guide is very informative. The place was easy to find using GPS and not far away from the theme parks. You do NOT have to be a world-class athlete to enjoy this 2-hour excursion. The trees also provide some relief from the sun. We saw lots of animals: birds, turtles, and a baby alligator. Also, I feel like I should add: we felt safe at all times. If you're looking for an alternative to Disney, or maybe something to do during one of your vacation days in Orlando, consider this!

Our tour guide, Ray Morales, was very knowledgeable and friendly with a great sense of humor! Shingle Creek is absolutely gorgeous I’m sure anytime of the year and today was no exception. Whether you’re inexperienced or a pro with a kayak this trip is for you!
