What To Expect

Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour's scheduled departure time to check in and fill out waivers. All guests will be fitted with helmets. The tour begins at the departure time with a video and comprehensive one-on-one training with the tour guide. Training ensures that even the most nervous guest feels comfortable for the duration of the tour.

Chicago Riverwalk

As you follow your guide through the streets of Chicago on a personal Segway, you’ll travel down secluded alleys, visit hotel lobbies, and glide along the Chicago river. During your two-hour tour, listen to your guide’s detailed account of the city's haunted past, from Chicago’s infamous gangster murders to disasters that forever changed the city. Feel goose bumps on your skin as you stand in the alley where more than 600 Chicagoans perished in 1903. Listen for the faint sound of an unmanned piano playing in the ballroom of the Michigan Avenue Hotel. Stand at the shore of the Chicago River - the sight of the worst maritime disaster in Chicago history that claimed the lives of 800 people in 1915. While you see these ghostly sites and hear the spooky tales, you’ll also have the added benefit of admiring some of Chicago’s famous landmarks lit up at night. Zoom through the dark city streets on your Segway, soaking up the eerie nighttime atmosphere.

Jen was a great and enthusiastic guide. My son and I had a great time. Night time Segway is fun enough, but to add the spooky story factor made it better. This was our 2nd tour with this company and would definitely book them again. Thanks to Jen! Dave and Graeme

I took the 2 hour Haunted Segway Tour recently and it was TERRIBLE. The company is getting stars only for having friendly staff, and good customer service after the fact. The main issue was with the tour guide. Although he was very friendly, calling him a tour guide is actually completely misguided as he was relatively incoherent most of the time, barely told any stories/facts - and even those he did tell, he got several of the facts wrong (I looked them up after). It was raining the night of my tour. And even though they are supposed to go on rain or shine, we wound up arriving back at the company 30 min early because he said he didn't want to stay out talking in the rain. He also continuously mocked the "haunted" element of the tour. The three times we stopped he would poorly tell some sort of fact or story and then say "oh and the 'spooky' element is afterwards people saw ghosts here". That was it. Even at one point we saw someone else giving what looked like an ACTUAL tour and he said "oh I'm not going to get into it as much as that" Also -- the other segway tours I have done have everyone wearing a little earpiece so that you can ride the whole time and the guide can talk to you and actually give you a tour. This was just stopping at three places for a 60 second story. So it was really just going around on a segway for 45 min with someone telling fake facts and making fun of you. Definitely do not recommend. The only positive is that the company representative was very helpful and immediately responsive when I complained.

Riding a segway is a blast!! AJ was our trainer and guide. He made it very easy, stress free and he was hysterical! He knew his Chicago history for sure! Lots of laughter guaranteed!
