Sitka Sea Level Adventures is a local & family-run tour company in Sitka, Alaska. Specializing in whale watching & marine wildlife tours, we explore Sitka Sound & the pristine wilderness around the Tongass National Forest & the volcanic coastline of our island home. The surrounding waters are a marine playground for several whale species, including Humpback, Gray, and Killer Whales, sea lions, sea otters, eagles, puffins & sea birds galore!

Sitka

Sitka Sound is home to some of the most amazing wildlife in the world. On our trips we often see seals, sea lions, sea otters, and whales. There is a wide variety of birds in our area as well: bald eagles, puffins, and muir are just a few that stand out. Sitka Blacktail deer and Brown Bears are also a common sight. This wildlife tour is perfect for those looking to experience the breathtaking and overwhelming scenery the Tongass National Forest has to offer, with fantastic opportunities for photography and making memories. No animal sightings are guaranteed. All trips are unique due to weather and time of year.

Jaren was a very knowledgeable and personable guide. He knew the waters well and took us on his personal boat. We saw 3 whales and other wildlife. My family had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend him.

Captain Jaren gave a professional safety lecture that I wish other boats would do. Six passengers was the perfect size. The twin Honda 200 horsepower outboards started and ran flawlessly. We saw many large sea otters, a few whale spouts, and the largest group of puffins we had ever seen. The boat is optimized for wildlife viewing so everybody could spot things. We had a sunny day with the snow capped volcano in perfect view. Captain Jaren grew up there and he had interesting comments/observations about Alaska and Sitka that made you feel like you were getting the real thing. No weak links in the entire experience. Will definitely book with them next time.

Captain Jaren was so knowledgable! He took us straight to the whales, and we had the best time watching them jump out of the water. He also pointed out otters we wouldn’t have otherwise seen along the way. He was so hospitable to my group of friends—I’d recommend this to anyone visiting Sitka!
