2-Hour Private Guided Venice Beach Sunset Walking Tour

Overview
The beaches of Southern California are one of the most iconic destinations in the US. The Pacific Ocean and its sunset views have called to everyone from elite celebrities to surf bums to artists to activists for decades. Come along with us as we explore Venice Beach – the classic SoCal beach community. We’ll visit the aptly-named Muscle Beach and marvel at the “natural” scenery, along the way, your guide will give you the history of surfing in the area and how the surfing community birthed skateboarding in the 1970s.

You’ll also see and hear all about the various counterculture groups that have laid their foundations in this area, and how SoCal residents have fostered a mentality of inclusivity, tolerance, and respect since the mid-1900s. To conclude your tour, you’ll enjoy sunset views from a blanket on the beach, as you relax to the sound of the waves with a refreshing mocktail in your hand. Trust us, it’ll be harder than you think not to turn into a beach bum when it’s over.

What To Expect
1
Venice Beach Boardwalk
This thoroughfare running along one of the most famous beaches in Southern California offers it all: street performers, shops and restaurants, grassy parks, and plenty of ocean views. We’ll stroll along a stretch of the boardwalk’s 2-miles and take in some of the fantastic street art as we begin your tour of the iconic Venice Beach.
2
Muscle Beach Venice
Maybe the most appropriately-named place in all of California, Muscle Beach and its regulars are an iconic part of Venice Beach. This outdoor gym always has something (or someone) to marvel at as we pass by!
3
Venice Skatepark
The birthplace of skateboarding! If you’re a fan of surfing, skateboarding, California vibes, and history, you’ll love a visit here - it was the very first skatepark in the world! Your guide will be sure to fill you in on how skateboarding came to be in the 1970’s as you gape at the tricks being done in front of you
4
Venice Canals Walkway
What trip to a Southern California beach would be complete without gaping at some homes of the rich and famous? The ocean calls to many, but it’s not only beach bums that answer! Plenty of Cali’s elite are lucky enough to own beach-side property, so let’s take a trip and see how the other half lives, just for a moment or two

Venice Beach
We promised a sunset and a sunset you’ll get! Your Venice Beach Sunset Tour concludes with time to enjoy the incredible sunset over the Pacific Ocean while you relax on a blanket with a mocktail in your hand. What could be a better way to end your tour and start your evening than listening to the waves? Be careful, though! It’s all too each to transform into a beach bum, yourself!
