2-Hour Private Hilton Head Afternoon Dolphin Watching Sail

Overview

This 2 hour Private Afternoon Sailing tour will take us to Port Royal Sound (generally the best wind for sailing on Hilton Head) on the North side of the island. During the day, this is generally filled with exciting winds for great sailing along with the beautiful scenery and wildlife such as dolphins, birds, sting ray and Manatee are some of the great things we get to see on a very regular basis. This is a Monohull Sailboat which means it will heal over (completely normal but very exciting - designed not to tip over!). All this without the noise of the motor in the back ground - we like to sail not motor sail!!!

We want our guest to be very comfortable on board our vessel known as "Knot the Office" and therefore if anyone is uncomfortable with the healing we can significantly reduce the healing to ensure everyone is comfortable.

This is a fun and exciting activity but yet very relaxing and rewarding at the same time.

Captian Paul and JT were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. From the moment we were greeted and brought on board you could see the pride they took in maintaining this beautiful sailboat. Paul's stories were both entertaining and educational. We left with a better knowledge of sailing, as well as many interesting facts about the island and marine life. My wife and I would love to come back and would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

Captain Paul and First Mate Kevin were so welcoming and knowledgeable. We saw several dolphin pods and learned so much about them. We didn’t get much by way of wind. Sailing winds usually pick up later in the afternoon/early evening so next time I will book accordingly. They even let us bring our Daisy, our Great Pyrenees, who did great though she is no water baby. Next time, we will get a dog sitter for her to stay ashore. She prefers her creek at home.

We used Anchors Away Sailing Charters for a 2 1/2 hour excursion over Labor Day weekend. We decided to book with Anchors Away to get a personal one-on-one experience and to eliminate the fear of being around a group of strangers on a larger boat who might be sick with Covid. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Captain Paul and his beautiful boat Knot the Office. It was our first time on a sail boat and we learned a lot - but didn't have to lift a finger. The boat is immaculate and was the perfect size for our group of 4. Captain Paul and his first mate are personable and very knowledgeable about the boat and about the island. A great time was had by all. We own a vacation home on Hilton Head and look forward to treating our family and friends to many other trips with Anchors Away.
