Overview

Take in all the gorgeous sights as we offer one of the largest riding areas on the island. Enjoy a short idle time through the beautiful waters of Skull Creek, while keeping an eye out for our famous Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. From there on, it is smooth sailing, as we allow you to travel to the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean, behind Daufuskie Island, through the Cooper River, or up the May River to check out the sand bar and Palmetto Bluff.

You will receive a professional orientation on navigating Hilton Head Island’s waterways, and don’t be afraid to ask for some superb lunch recommendations on the water.

Pontoon boats have a capacity of 10 people, and the captain must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license.

Decent little pontoon. It was definitely under powered with a top speed of 10 mph. That limits the distance you can travel in two hours to relatively small section of the island. We rented from one location and they presumed that we would pick our boat up at another location… fortunately when we came by to pick up the pontoon, they happened to have a spare at the location where we were staying in our RV.

Thank you for renting a pontoon at Island Head while visiting Hilton Head. We do limit the power for the safety of our guest. Unfortunately everyone isn't extremely experienced and Hilton Head can have it challenges on the water. We appreciate you taking the time to write a nice review.

Staff was very professional and helpful with instruction and tips on where to go. I didn’t have a ton of experience boating, but it was easy and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend more than 2 hours if you want to find a place to stop and play in the water with the kids for a while. Great overall experience!

All was going well until we stopped for a swim and the motor wouldn’t start. Had to wait for someone from the dock to arrive and whack the starter with a hammer.
