Our 8 yr and 11 yr old had private lessons. After mastering standing, They went out into open ocean. Our kids had a blast! Both want to be professional surfers, til I took them to the Northshore. They looked at the big waves.."We need more lessons!" We have gotten home and have contacted Shane and planning more lessons in September 2023 for our next Hawaiian vacation. The instructors were amazing!!

Shane and Neal are the ABSOLUTE BEST in Waikiki, hands down. I have surfed with other instructors in Waikiki when I lived there and visited but will return to Shane and Neal for as along as they are around. I surfed for a solid 2 hours before I yelled uncle (laughter). The spot they have is perfect to both learn and hone your skills. Shane is a master at those minute corrections that makes you better in minutes, that is his real gift. Both Shane and Neal are professional and personable, it was a joy to be in the water with them. I surfed on 10/29 which is Neal’s birthday, my birthday was 10/30. Karma! You will not be disappointed!

Awesome time learning to surf on a stand-up paddle board with Shane on Waikiki (Oct 2022). The first thing i tell friends about my trip was this 2 hr lesson. I'm not really sure if this makes sense but not only is Shane an excellent surfing instructor he teaches "Aloha" , great vibe. Bottom line: if you are doing any water activities while on Oahu give these guys a call. They will be the first call i make next time I head there.
