2-Hour Wilmington Guided Tour on Electric Bikes

Overview

We know what it's like to visit a new place (or return to an already-visited place). You want to see and experience as much as you can! We understand that. Our main goal with the Tour de Wilmington is to show you as much of Wilmington as possible. The areas that we travel through or have a brief stop in, are areas that you may not have discovered otherwise! Some of these are off the beaten path, some up-and-coming, but all are sure to impress.

Our tours are focused on mainly riding the e-bikes, showing you around the areas. Getting on and off e-bikes can be challenging for some, and for this reason, we specifically do not require attendees to dismount and re-mount their e-bikes several times throughout the tour (aka, a talking tour). We will have brief stops at a few places, but for the most part, you will get to really enjoy a beautiful e-bike ride!

What's Included

This tour allows renters to choose their own e-bike. It includes free e-bike upgrades.

Renter's Insurance - This mandatory insurance covers all riders for up to $100 in potential damages

Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Not recommended for pregnant travelers
Public transportation options are available nearby
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Not recommended for travelers with low physical fitness.
Not recommended for travelers who have not ridden a bicycle within the last seven years. We cannot give refunds for riders who arrive and cannot ride their e-bike.
Not recommended for travelers under 4'6" tall.
Due to the high performance of our e-bikes, we have a weight limits for each. Maximum weight for the larger e-bikes is 260 lbs. and maximum weight for the smaller e-bikes ranges between 200 lbs. and 240 lbs.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Having never ridden an e-bike and having just moved to Wilmington, I was really looking forward to this trip and it did not disappoint. It was fun mastering the e-bike and it was even more fun getting a more intimate experience, learning about Wilmington as well as the geography. We were fortunate to have the most perfect weather- low 70’s and not a cloud in the sky. Our guide did a great job explaining the parts of town we explored, was patient for our learning curve of the bikes, and held safety of the group in high regards. The bikes worked perfectly, they made me want to buy my own. An overall great experience. I couldn’t imagine doing it in the heat. The only suggestion I’d make is a water bottle holder on the bikes would be helpful.

Ian was cheerful and informative. His tour went to fun places as well as beautiful Greenfield Park. He had numerous interesting facts to share, and seemed to enjoy what he was doing despite likely having done it many times already. Ian also was conscious about safety and was committed to pacing us to our preference. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves. Suitable for athletic and non-athletic people alike. Great introduction to Wilmington.
