There were 8 of us staying at The Gaylord Hotel in National Harbor, MD and very interested in a Private Moonlight DC tour by van that I had read about on tripadvisor.com. Some of us had never even been to DC and some had been there only during the day so we were all excited to experience it at night. I had arranged to get picked up at our hotel at 4pm because I wanted my brother in law to see the Vietnam Wall during the day time. You have the driver for a total of 4hrs. and he will take you to any and all places you have a desire to see during that time. Dexter our driver was a wonderful historian and story teller who couldn't be more accommodating to our wants and needs especially factoring in a bathroom break. He took us to all the famous sites and dropped us off to the ones where he couldn't park, such as the Christmas tree across from the White House...then we just called him on our cell phone to get picked up. He never rushed us , allowing for plenty of time to take pictures and just walk around. He even included taking us to downtown Alexandria, VA and the Georgetown area. We were allowed to bring drinks and snacks on board for this 4hr tour. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants the convenience of seeing all the wonderful sights of DC without any of the hassle of driving and parking in the city!

We chose another 4 hour tour by Dexter. First one by day, this one at night. Definitely would recommend both. The monuments look so different lit up! Dexter kept everything in mind of our wants and stops. Gave us a special treat again stopping at the National Tree and the 50 state trees. We were able to see the Christmas lights around DC. Even with a crying 20 month old we managed! Dexter is super. Can't wait for a return trip and requesting Dexter!

Dexter is the best! Friendly, knowledgeable, funny, adaptable ... everything you want in a guide and more. Gave us ideas of places to eat during our stay, recommended best ways to get to places on our schedule the next day and adapted our tour based on our conversation during the trip to take us places we were curious about that weren't on the 'standard' tour. Our time, our trip, our stops! Dexter is outstanding!

I have even recommended him to a Senate aide the next day looking for someone to guide her parents who are coming to DC next month while she's working.
