This has to be one of the best, if not the best, tours I've ever been on anywhere in the world. Garry was our guide and was AMAZING! His humble nature, knowledge of Navajo culture, passion for preserving tradition, and educating others comes through within seconds of meeting him. Do yourself a favor and book a tour with Navajo Spirit Tours. They are family owned and operated and like no other in the area. Truly was a highlight during our trip.

Fantastic experience from the time we booked our group with Miesha until the time we said goodbye to our guides Garry and Michelle. Garry is more like traveling with gracious host than a tour guide and Michelle works to keep everyone happy and see that needs are being met. Miesha rescheduled the time of our tours in order to accommodate concerns we had about driving in the dark. They made sure that our vehicle could accommodate my daughter who was touring with a nursing infant and two other family members with very busy toddlers. Garry took time to listen carefully to the things that different members were excited about and explain in great detail culture, customs, myths and traditions. He also took photos for us of our family, pointed out special areas to the photographers in our group. Of special interest to me and my husband was pointing out areas where movies had been filmed. My father in law once worked as a double flying over Monument Valley in an early film so seeing these areas was of great interest to us. I just donā€™t have the words to explain what a great experience this was for all of us. Itā€™s the best tour I have ever been on and I will certainly book with them again if we have the opportunity to return!

Larson was our guide for this amazing experience. We were off the beaten track, which meant no other tourists. Larson shared his immense knowledge of the area, with great passion. He truly loves this sacred land and it was contagious. He made sure we were comfortable on the ride as he expertly navigated the dirt road. He brought us directly up to sites (ruins, petroglyphs, pictographs) so no real hiking was required. Anyone in any condition can do this trip. It is an experience you will never forget, especially with an amazing guide.
