2 night down to Indian garden campground with Katie. She was a most excellent guide . Very knowledgeable and professional with her duties. She took into account our extreme weather and help guide us with changing our times to hike down and back up at the least hottest times . Her first thought was always our comfort and positive experience. She was a delight to get to know too .

The three-day hike in the Grand Canyon was amazing, an experience of a lifetime. Do it if you can. Do it with Discovery Treks. Adam and Chris were professional and easy to work with. All the details were covered, and they even accommodated a need for luggage storage when a hotel bumped us at the last minute. We were in good hands with our guide Michael C. He was experienced, knowledgeable and a good cook. For dinners we ate fajitas and pad thai; breakfasts were pancakes and oatmeal. There was more than enough food. I donā€™t think we ever ate it all. We were fortunate to have second guide, Tyler H., who needed to make a final trip for certification. Tyler is bear of a man with heart of gold. You would be fortunate if you had either Michael or Tyler as your guide. Besides the vistas, my favorite moments of the trip were the expressions on my daughterā€™s faces when they first saw the canyon, the beauty and serenity of Bright Angel creek, the lemonade at Phantom Ranch, the mountain goat on the trail, taking a dip in the Colorado river, and the exhilaration and adrenaline rush of being cheered while making the final push to the rim. It is said only 1% of the people who visit the Canyon make it to the bottom. At 57 Iā€™m proud to be one of them. My only regret was losing my Phantom Ranch souvenir hat between the rental car and the plane home.

My friend and I had a fantastic experience. This was her very first backpacking trek and she did well, yet it was still plenty challenging for more experienced hikers. Our guide, Jason Hamburger, catered to us around the clock and also educated us on historical fun facts about the Grand Canyon. He's also a phenomenal chef which is like the cherry on top. This was exactly the type of trip I was looking for and I'd highly recommend this guiding company, as well as Jason as a guide.
