This vessel operates in exposed water ways. Rough and bumpy conditions can occur unexpectedly. This tour is not recommended if you have a condition that can be impacted by such conditions.

What To Expect

Dyea

We will take a short pause in Dyea, the historic gateway to the Chilkoot Trail, which was pivotal during the 1898 Gold Rush. You will have the opportunity to see the same views that greeted the early miners upon their arrival. Along our way we will stop in Nahku Bay where the Sailing Vessel Bark Canda was finally laid to rest and interesting story of piracy.

Skagway

We will travel 15 miles down the Lynn Canal the deepest fjord in North America and visit around 15 spectacular waterfalls; we'll bring the boat in as close as possible to provide you with an intimate experience. Waterfalls are not the only we'll be looking at so expect stops for our resident wildlife.

Haines

Taiyasanka Harbor is a rare natural harbor that was created by the last ice age. We stop here to take a moment to enjoy the picturesque scenery and have a snack of Alaska smoked salmon, a local delicacy. We Continue on looking for wildlife and stopping off at one of our largest falls.

This was a great tour. There were 2 couples on the boat (max of 5 unless your family/friends then I think they’ll take 5. We saw so many waterfalls up close. Captain of the boat did a great job. I would definitely recommend it. Wanted to do the Ocean Raft but due to a bad back, decided on this one and so glad we did. We ended up at a lot of the same places. We were in a warm cabin except when we stepped out to take pictures while they were in rain gear and goggles due to the water spraying them.
