What To Expect

Grand Canyon South Rim

Stroll along the rim while your local guide shares a wealth of information about the Grand Canyon including geological formations, trails, mules and the rich history. Tour includes Tusayan pick-up, south entrance gate detour during exclusive 30 minute back-road excursion, viewing of wildlife such as elk, deer, turkey and hawks in their natural surroundings and interpretive discussions at exceptional Grand Canyon vistas.

Yavapai Point

Guides share Grand Canyon knowledge while you look into the depths and view spectacular monuments, Colorado River and Phantom Ranch.

Bright Angel Trail

Discover the rich history of the Kolb brothers who built their art studio cantilevered over the Grand Canyon and above the Bright Angel Trail. See hikers and mules as they descend the trail into the Grand Canyon.

Hopi House

The tour continues to Hopi House, El Tovar Hotel and Bright Angel Lodge where your guide will discuss these historic buildings and Grand Canyon history.

After several visits to the Grand Canyon, this is the best way to highlight the South Rim. Roomy, comfortable vehicle brings you in the original forest road entering the park, bypassing the lines. Our guide (Werner) was amazing. He highlighted every step of the way. He shared his vast experience and knowledge of the forest, the wildlife, and the park. Took us to several different vantage points and accommodated a few unscheduled opportunistic stops to photograph wildlife. Werner was very interactive, helpful and entertaining. A great asset. Thanks, Werner!

This was a great way to see and learn about the surrounding areas of the south rim. We had done a self tour of the rim via shuttles the first day and I was worried this tour might be a repeat. It was completely different than what we had seen the day before. Our guide Rene was fantastic and was very knowledgeable about the back country and the history about the village.
