Did you know Denver was founded over a barrel of whiskey? On this 3 hour Colorado Whiskey tour you will learn about Whiskies and their role in the founding of the city. On this walking tour you will visit Denver's oldest Irish Pub, a modern day saloon, and a local Denver distillery. Along the way you will sample different whiskies, learn how high altitude distilling is different than anywhere else and learn some light local history.

The tour was entertaining. Tour guide was knowledgeable and kept things fun. I would suggest adding the drink package. It was a bummer that one of the scheduled stops was unavailable, but tour was prepared with a backup. Interesting way to learn the history of Denver.

Boring too much history, guide didn’t have much personality so if you are interested in learning and tasting whiskey this isn’t the tour for that. Three hours was too long.

My number one goal is for our guests to have not just a good time on our tours, but a great time! That’s why my wife and I started Denver Local Tours. Our passion is hospitality and we’ve been in the service of others for over 20 years. As you can imagine this review stings a bit and I obviously missed the mark on this tour for you. I welcome all feedback and would like to know how we could have improved this tour for you. Ive emailed you directly and have offered a refund but have yet to receive a reply. The description of the tour outlines that this tour is equal parts History, Whiskey and Outlaws. That we like to say “It’s not a pub crawl but a history tour with drinks.” I’m sorry if you were expecting just a whiskey tasting tour like you’ve experienced in the past. This tour is simply not that type of tour. I think it’s important to note that from the onset of the tour you were very disruptive and continually interrupted the group. Part of my job as a guide is to ensure everyone on the tour is having a good time, something that proved to be challenging this tour. My girlfriend and I were in Denver for a few days and booked the Whiskey, History and Outlaws tour by Denver Local Tours. Our tour guide, Will Strobolson, was fantastic. His in depth knowledge of local history, both documented and folkloric was informative, amusing and thought provoking. He was very casual and engaging but also extremely well-prepared. We especially appreciated the way he acknowleged the particularly difficult history of the many marginalized people who contributed to the making of Denver and it's unique culture.
