Nothing like an airboat ride in Florida. It is loud but they give you headphones. Not for young children. We had a 6yo little girls who screamed the whole ride. Enjoy!

One of the most affordable and entertaining things to do in the area. Despite the sudden rain shower and the fact that we got soaked, we had an exciting adventure. We knew before we started that we were setting out at possibly the worst time to encounter wildlife but our tour guide found a momma gator with her many babies, answered loads of questions and took us on a great ride.

After reading TripAdvisor we thought we'd give it a go. Well if you're from the west coast, and have ever ridden in a boat, pass this one up. Without renting their binoculars bald eagles were too far away. See them all the time anyway. The alligators were small. Google described a 70' mining experience to find gems, fossils, and gold. So here's the truth. A metal bucket the size of a child's beach toy. They fill it with a premixed sand and gem that they BUY from Iowa , (not even Idaho, which is the GEM state). You walk, carrying your little bucket to a 70' slough where you "mine" or better said "pan" by using a sluice box. And Ta Da you have the leftover rocks from the actual mining operations. Oh, the gold, iron pyrite. Oh and Florida has NO KNOWN gems or gold. You would have better luck looking for the fountain if youth. So if you just want a loud boat ride...... eh your choice.
