What To Expect

Egmont Key State Park

Our first stop is over the sunken ruins of ‘OLD FORT DADE’. Here you will see lots of fish, hermit crabs, conch and plant life. You may also see manatees on our trip. Next, we will pull the boat up to the beach at Egmont Key, where you can hop off and go exploring across the island. You can snorkeling some more from the shoreline. You can picnic, go shelling or you can sit back and relax on the white sandy beaches. While you are on the island, we recommend that you take the short walk inland to search for gopher tortoises. They are cool to spot as they graze the grass fields. Time to head back to port! Once again we will search for marine life along our route back to the marina. We always have a surprise or two in store for you! Come along with our captain and crew as lead you on an experience of a lifetime!

Loved this trip! We saw lots of dolphins on the way to the snorkel spot. Snorkeling itself was not good due to conditions but the captain and first mate helped everyone with their fins and gear. Egmont itself was cool and would have liked a little more time there but overall it was great.

We took this boat trip over our spring break. Our captains Mike and Dave were great and more than willing to stop and watch dolphins spotted. We got to see some young ones jumping and playing. Then it was off to snorkel. The day we went it was rough in the Gulf so we snorkeled at an alternate site. We appreciated them making safety a priority. My family was able to see a lot of sea life and some guests brought up starfish for everyone to see before releasing them back into the water. We didn't have quite as long to explore at Egmont Key because of watching all the dolphins, but it was still neat to see the turtles and comb the beach for some shells. We had to cancel last year due to Covid and not being able to travel and they very graciously refunded our money. Overall a great experience and I would recommend to families looking for something different to do on vacation then the typical beach visit.
