4-Hour Private Harlem, Its History and People Tour with a Local Guide

Overview
Discover one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in NYC. Learn Harlem’s history, explore iconic sites, and learn about the diversity of its people. This 4-hour tour includes a local tour guide and luxury vehicle transportation.

Located north of Central Park in Manhattan, Harlem has long been a creative and spiritual hub. The cultural renaissance that followed the Great Migration of the 1920s brought new influences, which became known for the arts, music, fashion and soul food.

We are welcomed to Harlem by the monument to Frederick Douglas, American abolitionist writer, editor, and speaker who helped improve the lives of Black Americans in the United States in the 19th century.

During our tour, we will enjoy the magnificent architecture of the townhouses of Sugar Hill and Striver’s Row. Heading south to the busy commercial strip on 125th Street we’ll find the iconic Apollo theater.

Next up is East Harlem, commonly known as “El Barrio" followed by a trip down Museum Mile.
