During my first visit to SoCal, I was pressed for time and wanted to see as many sights around Los Angeles without giving up an entire day. I opted for the Legends of Hollywood morning tour which was about 6 hours. Mark, the operator was running a few minutes behind but was considerate and called ahead to let me know, which was appreciated. It was his birthday and despite my ten year old and I being the only ones on the tour, Mark delivered the goods. I was especially happy with getting to see L.A. landmarks that would have taken me several days on my own to locate. Mark knew all of the best vantage points and if I missed a photo that I wanted, he made sure I got it from another perspective. For the celebrity homes portion of the tour, I really appreciated Mark's respectfulness of the occupant's privacy and the fact that he doesn't hang his passengers out in the open air like some awful celebrity safari. The van is small and discreet and I was able to indulge my voyeurism without feeling terribly douchey, The properties are spectacular and all star struck stuff aside, definitely worth seeing if you're interested in architecture and design, as the Legends tour offers aerial perspectives of the grand scale of many of the Beverly Hills homes. I can't believe how much ground we covered in such a short span of time. The multimedia tour added to the overall experience. As a aside, there were no scheduled pee breaks outside of lunch but with a simple request, I was given access to a washroom normally reserved for customers, thanks to Mark's good relationship with the business. I would recommend this tour. In retrospect, the extra money compared to the other tours I looked into was well spent, considering where we got to go and the level of personal service we received.
