My family of 4- two adults, two kids under ages 5 & 10 years, had a great time on the 45 minute tour. We debated the longer 90 minute, but we were very pleased with the 45 minute tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and made it interesting and fun for us all. We were lucky enough to sit on the top deck and even in the colder temps, were comfortable in our winter coats. Pro tip- choose a seat that faces the right side- that's where all of the buildings of interest are. We did visit the lower deck and bar inside. It was festive and the staff there was helpful and kind. Snack choices are limited, but not expensive- chips, pretzels, etc to go along with your beer and wine. Getting on and off the boat was quick and orderly. The tour at night was stunning- our boat departed at 6pm and I highly recommend that. Overall, it was a great experience!

Fantastic family architecture boat tour! My kids/teens were captivated the entire tour. We plan on booking the tour next time we visit Chicago.

The view at night was exquisite! If traveling between October and April, bring appropriate clothing and get there early for a seat up top. Seats below are good and not as crowded, but up tip us prob better.
