5-Hour Private Queens, Bronx with Roosevelt Island Tour including Tram Ride

Let’s go beyond Manhattan! In our journey, we travel to Roosevelt Island, Queens and the South Bronx. This 5-hour tour includes a local tour guide and luxury vehicle transportation.

We will begin our visit by riding the elevated tram while enjoying the wonderful views of the City and the East River. The Tram will take us to Roosevelt Island which is located on the East River between Manhattan and Queens.

From here we will take the subway a few stops to the “Little India” neighborhood of Queens.

After this stop, we will continue towards Flushing Meadows Corona Park where the 1964 World's Fair was celebrated. Here we will visit the Queens Museum.

On the way to the Bronx, we will pass by Louis Armstrong's home. Queens was the epicenter of jazz in the 1940s.

We will continue towards the South Bronx, home of Yankee Stadium. We will drive through the Bronx streets where hip hop was born in the 1970s. Next, we will stop at Arthur Avenue, the “Little Italy” of the Bronx.

What To Expect

Roosevelt Island
We will begin our visit by riding the elevated tram while enjoying the wonderful views of the City and the East River. The Tram will take us to Roosevelt Island which is located on the East River between Manhattan and Queens. On a pedestrian tour of the island, we will enjoy the views of Manhattan and see the new Cornell University technology campus.

Queens
From here we will take the subway a few stops to the “Little India” neighborhood. The surrounding blocks are the heart of a large South Asian neighborhood where Indians, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis live and come to shop and eat. It's the place for some of the highest quality Indian food in New York City; South Asian jewelry, clothes and music; Bollywood films; and plain old people-watching.

Flushing Meadows Corona Park
After this stop, we will continue towards Flushing Meadows Corona Park where the 1964 World's Fair was celebrated. Here we will visit the Queens Museum and see an intricate model of Manhattan, updated constantly to reflect the ever-evolving streetscapes.

Bronx
On the way to the Bronx, we will pass by Louis Armstrong's home. Queens was the epicenter of jazz in the 1940s. Jazz greats such as Louis Armstrong, Count Basie and Ella Fitzgerald found refuge from segregation in the mixed communities of the district, while a younger generation - Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie and others developed bebop in clubs in Harlem.

Yankee Stadium
We will continue towards the South Bronx, home of Yankee Stadium. We will drive through the Bronx streets where hip hop was born in the 1970s and our New York Insider will explore its history and the impact it had not only in NYC but the world.

Arthur Avenue Retail Market
Next, we will stop at Arthur Avenue, the “Little Italy” of the Bronx. Here we will take a stroll to browse some of the Italian stores and taste some amazing Italian specialty foods.

Bronx
Lastly, we’ll drive to Mott Haven, an up and coming neighborhood where we can check some of the new boutiques, breweries and street art.
