Owner contacted us the night before and let us know of the high tides, wind, no resting location expected. We are inexperienced and opted to cancel based on his honesty. He was very professional and wanted us to have a good experience. We appreciated his honesty

We truly appreciate your kind words about our honest communication. We are committed to prioritizing safety and ensuring every guest has an amazing adventure, no matter their experience level—even first-time kayakers who we see often on all of our tours! When weather conditions or, as in this case, king tides with high winds don’t meet our standards for a great outing, we always reach out well in advance to our guests so they can make an informed decision and avoid last minute surprises. We look forward to welcoming you in the future. Thank you again!

My daughter (12) and I had a great day with Mark and Fabia! We took the 6 hr tour which was the perfect amount of time we needed to explore the mangroves and estuary. We learned so much from Mark about the marine life (stingrays, puffer fish, jellyfish, shore birds, crustaceans, aquatic flora, especially mangroves and Austrailian Pines, etc). Mark's breadth of knowledge is remarkable and he is a great enviornmentalist teacher. Fabia is a lovely person who took awesome pictures of the entire journey. I really appreciated the special attention she paid to my daughter. The fish at our lunch stop, the legendary Little Jims, was great! They have gluten free options which was perfect since my daughter is allergic to gluten. If you are taking the journey in the summer months bring plenty of cold water as it gets very hot as the day goes on. Overall, I highly recomend this adventure with Mark and Fabia, you can not ask for better teachers/hosts.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and kind words! Experiencing the estuary from the aquatic preserve to the Fort Pierce inlet provides encounters with a diverse array of wildlife, including our sighting of the lined seahorse inside the mangrove tunnel, the nesting green heron and more. We aim to create a day of discovery for kids and their parents, so we're thrilled that you and your daughter had such a memorable experience. We were also pleased to learn about the gluten-free menu at the landmark restaurant and are happy you enjoyed the lunch stop. Your tip about bringing plenty of cold water is valuable advice for guests. We send a few reminders about things to bring and we have kayaks rated at 800lb capacity with ample space for small coolers filled with drinks and snacks. Thank you again for your high recommendation. We hope to see you and your daughter for another special day on the water!
