Had a great time exploring the city by Segway. Segways are easy to use and I felt quite safe. My guide Lisa was a great character and gave wonderful insights of the city and its detail. Highly recommend!

My wife and I took the 1.5-hour historic tour on a Saturday the third week in March. We had taken a Segway tour before and enjoyed it and thought this might be a way to see more of historic Savannah than just walking the squares by ourselves. Our guide was Rosie and she was wonderful. There were 10 of us in our group and of those 4 were first-time riders. She did well with them and we had headsets so we could hear what she was saying. She narrated our tour and was careful to warn us of obstacles in our paths and keep us safe while we toured. We went everywhere in a line and we had a following rider on a bike who moved into intersections to stop traffic as our line went all the way through together. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, although we never really got much speed in town. That said, we were safe and we did cover quite a bit of ground on our tour. While Rosie gave us a very good narrative, we had to focus rather much on the road and cars around us, so my wife and I were less able to look at what we were passing then we were subsequently when we were walking through the squares. So, that means this may be a less effective way to tour the historic district than one in which you are a passive rider. Regardless, we enjoyed the tour and we recommend these nice folks highly. We paid $131 (including $20 tip) for the two of us and felt we got our money's worth. There is a parking garage one block from their office, on the same side of the street, so you should be able to get parked and walk to their location easily. In fact, we stayed parked there all day and simply walked everywhere after our tour; the historic district is small enough to walk. One piece of advice: show up 15 minutes before your scheduled time as they tell you to; you need time to watch the video and get checked out on the Segway. If this is your first time, show up 30 minutes early so you can get trained on the Segway. Don't be like the folks who showed up at our 10 o'clock start time having done neither. That delayed our start by 20 minutes and meant we got back 20 minutes later than scheduled (since Rosie saw that we got our full tour).

Thank you so much for your very kind and informative review. I appreciate you highly recommending us, that means so much to me. We always want to show off as much of Savannah as we can while keeping everyone safe. Thank you for giving your training advice. If anyone every feels they may need a little extra time it is important to come earlier. I hope you and your wife will come back to see us next time you're in Savannah.
