no whales which is understandable, but no pictures were taken and it seemed like everyone else knew it wasnt whale season except for me. If I had known that I wouldnt have booked it. Not shown anythig else either, so kind of a waste of kayak trip and time

We went on the whale watching tour with this company. Few days before our tour I emailed them to move the date to one day earlier and they accommodated us. I was surprised that they had the tour just for the two of us. We, My husband and I in a tandem kayak and our tour guide Taylor in another kayak, paddled away from the shore in search of wild life. The ocean calm water was mind blowing. When we were close to the shore and in shallow water, we could easily see all that was underneath , so clean and clear. Taylor was an incredible guide; knowledgeable and passionate about environment and marine life. During our almost 3 hour tour, we got to see pods of dolphins, sea lions and all sort of birds. Unfortunately we couldn’t spot any whales but you cannot ever predict something like that. We headed back toward the shore and paddled over the kelp forest. The number of Garibaldi fish dancing around was overwhelming. We also briefly went in and out of the caves. In any case the spectacular beauty and serenity of water and observing wild life in their natural habitat were worth all the paddling and getting on this tour. It is one of a kind experience whether you spot whales or not.

There were 5 of us. We had a really good time. Saw dolphins, seals, But no whales. We were lucky it was a beautiful day, no waves, very calm. Guides were very good and attentive. We never felt rushed. Everything at all times asunder control. A great day on the water.
