can do this!
Your guide will outfit you with a helmet, harness, and via ferrata
lanyard. They will also accompany you through this unforgettable adventure.
Bring a pack with water and snacks, wear closed-toe hiking

Aaahhk!! You have to do this! It’s so stunning it’s days later and my heart is going to burst. It’s so pretty up there. Above Zion is my favorite day of my vacation. They spoiled us and took us to Lava Point initial detour. After that view we started the hike with our guide Jake. The trail to the ledge is stunning. I felt peaceful the whole way anticipating the high point on the ledge. This is my 5th time to Zion and I finally got to see Kolob. It’s absolutely magical. Jake helped take pictures which was really patient, and calmed my nerves. I didn’t feel rushed - but mostly we had a guide that appreciated the view and was comfortable to sit in silence and take it in. Days later I’m still mind blown from 8000ft of pure beauty. Thank you Above Zion for the bucket list box checked! It was everything I dreamed of many years. Keep Kolob a secret !!!

WOW! We were looking for an eyeful and we got it! This hike takes you cliffside to an amazing view of the waterfall above The Narrows at Zion National Park. Jake was a very chill guide and the UTV ride to get to the trailhead was thankfully pretty tame. We went with our three fit adult sons and the experience that was expected to run 4 hours actually took us a little less than 3. For groups with elders or young ones, it would likely run longer. Seems like there's room for more exploring there on the property - a few more ladders would be so cool if people get through more quickly. Do not chicken out on the scary rocks. I was too scared but my guys all took the chance for a photo op leaning out over the canyon! If I could offer two minor suggestions to make it an A++++ tour, I would ask that the meet-up point be at the Kolob Cemetery or General Store, since those are closest to the trailhead. Going to the campground, we arrived early with no sign or cell signal and were horrified that we were in the wrong place. When Jake got there (fully on time!) he saw us looking around and had us follow him back 5 minutes down the road we'd just gone up. OR at least put up a sign so people know to wait for the tour. In addition, climbing gloves and ice cold waters were provided in other guided tours we took this trip - but missing in this one. We packed in our own water but it's nice when you can just focus on the scenery and not schlep a bag. And though the rebar staples were not especially rough, it's a nice touch to have climbing gloves to add grip in unfamilar terrain. Otherwise fantastic trip - cannot wait to try via ferrata climbing in other places around the world after this amazing introduction. THANKS, JAKE!! :)
