While in Pigeon Forge, we went to see The Red Skelton Comedy Show. Honestly my hopes were not very high since I grew up admiring Red Skelton’s style and having someone trying to emulate him was a very high bar to reach. The show started slow and I thought it was going to be a long time before I could walk out the door. Slowly Mr. Hoffman transformed and I WAS watching Red. The shift was subtle but complete. The true mark of a great performer is forgetting that they are acting and you become totally immersed in their performance. That Mr. Hoffman did in abundance. He is not paying me to say any of this but I would emphatically recommend his show especially in today’s time where crude and vulgar language dominates the comedy circuit. My funny bone was tickled, my heart was touched and my soul was soothed with his show. Thank you from my heart.

For those who grew up with Red Skelton or just wants some clean comedy this is your show. Brian Hoffman looks, sounds and acts like Red. Very small venue so only about 72 seats. But the show is well worth it. Brian (Red) is your usher, spokesperson and actor. He interacts with guest as they arrive and tells jokes while waiting for everyone to arrive. Once the show starts it takes you back in time to an era of family, clean funny comedy and patrtrism as Red recites the meaning of the pledge of Allegiance. Plenty of parking, no restrooms at the show, but just outside. Also no food or drink, but encouraged to bring some if you want. No videoing of the show, but photos allowed. Also after the show there is plenty of time to get picture with Brian and ask additional questions. Lots of memorabilia to see and shirts, picture etc to buy all at reasonable prices. If your a senior it will bring back memories, if not see what America was like before all the politics and hate.
