The Royal Kona Luau is an excellent Luau right in Kona. The Mai Tai's taste good and flow continuously although if you like yours with a little extra punch you do need to bring some small bottles of rum additive. The food is excellent and plentiful. The music and dancing is very typical of other Luau's to give first timers the welcome to Hawaii feel.

This was the worst luau we have been to.... everyone sat around for an hour waiting for the food. No entertainment... just ā€œfreeā€ watered down drinks and low end beer. When they opened up the buffet, by the time our half of the audience made it to the food, 90% was gone!!! We had rice, salad and chicken thighs...thatā€™s it! People complained but nothing was brought out. And the venue was not even sold out. Once the show started, everyone was so disgusted they started to leave. And we followed!!

Aloha, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your time with us. We pride ourselves on providing an excellent night. It is true that there is some time before the buffet is served but during this time there is entertainment available. There is ti-leaf bracelet making and face painting for children and our on-site photographer takes pictures of the guests with the beautiful sunset in the background. Furthermore, the live band plays music and the bar is open for mai tais and drinks as well. The bartenders are more than happy to make a drink extra strong for guests who request it. We also do the Imu - roasted pig and torch lighting ceremony during this time as well. The buffet is replenished by our staff throughout dinner and we would have been happy to assist you had we known you did not receive an item. We are very sorry that you cut your night short with us, and do hope that you will give us a chance in the future to regain your valued patronage. Mahalo, Zareena

The fire dance was amazing. The food was good and the location for the Luau was great. Beautiful sunset. A great memory to bring home.
