8:30 arrival Thursday morning and it poured last night and air was still so maybe this isn’t typical, BUT, I had to share it so future travelers are prepared. I even had on a citronella band on my wrist and 1 on each leg, yet I was attacked by mosquitoes in 5 minutes while getting harnessed up and checked in. I was slapping on Benedetto anti itch but it wasn’t helping. Thought I could power through it, but I watched nickel and quarter size welts appear all over my legs and it was too uncomfortable. I figured it would be worse up in the jungle area and since this was 2.5 to 3 hours I opted out and left! A couple of bites I can handle but I’m adding pics so you see what I’m taking about. In 20 minutes I had red blotches all over my legs and I didn’t want to ruin the test of my vacation. The sad part is I was prepared with bug repellent, but it was useless against these mosquitoes— maybe Hawaiian mosquitoes are just tougher. Anyway — $150 loss but I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there ! As for the actual Zipline experience — obviously I can’t comment. It’s the tropics and it’s 87 and humid so nature happens. ;)

Aloha Johnm,
So sorry you experienced the tropical mosquitos. They are a tough bunch. We sell many different repellent options at our shop in Poipu and our Kipu Ranch Welcome Center. I highly recommend the wipes and spray for full coverage. Hope we see you again.
