The San Francisco Crooked Street Segway Tour is our most challenging route yet! Ideal for those who have ridden a Segway before, wish to see a little more and test the machine a little further. What better testing grounds than the hills of San Francisco!

This small-group tour is limited to 8 people, ensuring a more personal experience.

Previous Segway experience is required. All riders must have taken at least a 2-hour guided Segway tour the last 3 years. Test rides do not qualify. There are no exceptions to this requirement.

Rider Requirements:
All guests must be age 12 or older.
All guests must weigh between 100-250 lbs or 45-113 kilos.
NOTE: We have a scale on site and check minimum weights for safety of all of our guests. Underweight guests will not be refunded or rescheduled.
Additional Requirement for Advance Segway Tour: Previous i2 Segway Experience is required. All riders in your group must have taken a two hour or more guided Segway tour within the last 3 years. Test rides do not qualify. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the tour.
No pregnant guests are allowed due to safety reasons.
This activity is not recommended for some guests that are: ages 70 years and older, have had recent surgeries or have motor skill/control issues.
Each customer must sign a Liability Waiver.
Helmets and safety vests are provided and are required.
Face masks provided for travellers
Hand sanitiser available to travellers and staff
Social distancing enforced throughout experience

What To Expect

Little Italy

The hilliest and most challenging route! This segway tour includes scooting up Russian Hill and down the famous Lombard Street, seeing the sights in North Beach, Little Italy and a glide along the waterfront. If you wish to join this advanced tour, you must have taken a segway tour (2 hours or more) in the last 12 months. This is not a beginners tour nor appropriate for guests with mobility issues. Enjoy Eco-friendly touring! On an eco-friendly Segway tour you'll see more sights than you could cover on foot, and have lots of fun. There's an added benefit for the environment if you take a Segway, there are fewer tour buses on the streets of the city each day you are helping keep San Francisco "The Greenest City in the United States". Please Note: Participants must have a minimum of 2 hours of past Segway riding experience in the last two years. You MUST note when and where you have participated in a Segway tour in the "Special Requirements" field at time of booking.

Honestly the best way to see the streets and sites of San Fran. Our Segway guide Nic was absolutely superb. Made us all feel very comfortable stepping onto the segway and had a fun and bubbly personality which made the tour enjoyable all the way round . If you want to see the all get major tourist attractions and have fun whilst doing it (and avoid walking those steep hills) book this tour you won’t regret it . Great fun. :-)

Although we have ridden segways in other cities as its a great way to see a city, was a little apprehensive of the hills in San Francisco. They appear very daunting but Susan soon gave us confidence and had us gliding up and down the hills. There were plenty of stops to see the sites and Susan took lots of photos for us to download after the trip. Susan was very informative with lots of knowledge of the city and kept us entertained throughout the tour. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone with previos Segway experience.

The tour day was our last day in US and scheduled to fly in the evening. So we had 2 minds one is having relax day without no tour the other is want to join the advanced segway tour. And we were so relieved that we didn't make a mistake by skipping this tour. So much pleasant times with Melanie and took the privilege to ask for photos as many as we want. Melanie was kind enough to take many photos of us and provide the knowledgeable stories about San Francisco. It was our third time to ride segway and the most exciting as we could ride on the road and hills. Thanks Melanie to make our day wonderful.
