What To Expect

Arkansas River Tours

You will arrive are out Canon City location, check in with our friendly reservation staff, meet your guide for the day, be outfitted with necessary rafting gear, go through an in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a short 5-10 min ride to the river put in

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

Once you arrive at the river you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then hit the river for an amazing adventure. You will float through the world famous Royal Gorge! Amazing views of the Royal Gorge Bridge and amazing whitewater on this trip. This is the premiere trip on the Arkansas River!

We had an absolutely exhilarating day doing the Grand Slam (two trips down the Royal Gorge). Our guide, RonJon, knew the best lines to have a fun ride while keeping us a safe as possible. We got a feel for the various rapids on the first run, and then in the second, we surfed and did some wild maneuvers the took it up a couple notches! I'm am experienced rafter and HIGHLY recommend Arkansas River Tours with RonJon as your guide if you want to have a day you'll never forget!

We went on the Big Horn Sheep Canyon trip last week. It was amazing! We rafted the Royal Gorge trip a couple of years ago and loved it, but wanted a little more “chill” ride to enjoy the scenery. Luke, our guide was just great. Polite, fun, knowledgeable- just a great guy to raft the river with. Even though we took the calmer trip, it still had some great rapids, and we got thoroughly wet. Another overall great experience, and we WILL be back!

Our guide, Eman was awesome. I definitely feel like the guide can make or break the trip and all of the guides seemed to be great!! It was such a fun rafting experience.
