What To Expect

Arkansas River Tours

You will arrive are out Canon City location, check in with our friendly reservation staff, meet your guide for the day, be outfitted with necessary rafting gear, go through an in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a short 5-10 min ride to the river put in

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

Once you arrive at the river you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then hit the river for an amazing adventure. You will float through the world famous Royal Gorge! Amazing views of the Royal Gorge Bridge and amazing whitewater on this trip. This is the premiere trip on the Arkansas River!

We did the morning Royal Gorge run with Kyle, and had an absolute blast. Stop searching and book this trip. Kyle was knowledgable, explained the safety info in a way that was comprehensive but still captured our attention, the trip itself was amazing. Great views, solidly challenging for some intermediate rowers (j/k, Kyle, paddlers). I've done a couple rafting trips and this was the best one yet, book Kyle, tip him well, and have a blast.

An amazing time! We did the full day with the back half down the Royal Gorge. Our guide just happened to be the owner of ART and was very skilled and knowledgeable about the river and canyon. I've rafted a bunch on other rivers, I appreciated ART's small business approach to the whole process. It was a great experience and I will do it again next time I am in CO. PS - I would recommend stretching or even some yoga before rafting the gorge... i am nursing some sore muscles today with lots of vitamins i.

ART was awesome! we brought a huge group and all the guides were very accommodating and kind. The rapids were very fun and the lunch provided was perfect.
