To be honest, we signed up for this tour when we couldn't get advance tickets to the African American Museum and didn't like the options of trying on-line at 6:30 A.M. or lining up at 1:00 P.M. the day of. Kenny was our tour guide and was very informative and entertaining. As some have mentioned, he is a no nonsense guy when it comes to keeping the schedule, which we really appreciated. We have had other tours negatively affected by rude people who are on their own time. He said he would get us to the museum by 1:00 - 1:15, and we pulled into the drop off area just before 1:00. At each stop he gives you a brief introduction and then you are on your own to explore for a bit and take pictures, but be sure to be back to the bus by the time he tells you to be! We never would have gone to the Ben's Chili murals, the African American Civil War Memorial, or the Frederick Douglas house if it weren't for this tour, and he even clued us in to things we had missed on places we had already visited - the place where MLK stood when he delivered his famous speech at the Lincoln Memorial, for instance. This is a great tour and we highly recommend it. An added bonus for anyone who is a fan of the NDSU Bison - Kenny is a big fan!

Bus was comfortable. Kept an excellent time table. Bus driver very polite. Went to some excellent, historic locations. Tour guide gave a few facts regarding each stop, but didn't provide much context. Wasn't very articulate when speaking...perhaps he was tired. Museum experience was excellent.

My wife and I had taken two tours of Washington DC just a day before , and none of the others gave us such an inspiring tour. This tour is highly recommended; especially if you are wanting to know more of how African/Black Americans have continued and contributed to the American History we see today. The review by Lockerbie for the same day of May 19, 2019 is very accurate and true. We had the same viewpoint and enjoyed the journey; especially the visit of African American National History Museum.
