The tour guide, Dre, was very informative and humorous. He kept the entire tour engaged, while educating everyone on the black experience and history of Washington D.C.. Many museums tend to focus on large stories such as wars, but the African American History Museum offers more than that, and it prioritizes smaller stories of civil rights activists just as much as it talks about the larger names such as Martin Luther King Jr. This makes the experience much more interesting as it seems like every single topic is just as important as every other, which really represents the fight for freedom as a whole as every single step made means the same as another. Overall, this museum was very well created, and was very interesting for me to learn about, and I would most definitely love to come back in the future to witness the exhibits once more for a chance at learning more about anything I may have missed, as well as seeing new exhibits which may become available in the future.
