After Dinner Tour along the Famous Waikiki Beach Strip

Overview
Small-Group Evening Tour in Waikiki Beach with Hotel Pick Up! One of our most popular tours is our “After Dinner Waikiki Beach Tours”. Just after dark Waikiki comes alive, this tour gives you the perfect opportunity to sit back and just enjoy the drive along the strip as you take in all the sights and sounds of this wonderful beach at night. You have the chance to see many of the same sights you would see during the day tours, only now lit up with the ocean moonlight and the hustle and bustle of the restaurants, bars and nightlife. After a relaxing day at the beach if you looking for the perfect way to unwind you will see why the Shaxi After Dinner Tour is one of the most popular tours on the Island. Note: This is NOT a cruise, This is NOT a boat.

Shaxi Tours have brought back a piece of Hawaiian history from when Shaxi was on island in the early 1950’s. Please note: this is NOT a dinner tour, we don't feed you, it's a recommended tour/activity start time, after you dine on your own.

Ala Wai Canal
The Ala Wai Canal is an artificial waterway in Honolulu, Hawaii which serves as the northern boundary of the tourist district of Waikiki. It was created in 1928 to drain the rice paddies and swamps which would eventually become Waikiki. It also serves as a primary drainage corridor for the rivers and streams that run through central and east Honolulu. The canal runs from just northwest of Kapahulu Avenue along the length of Waikiki, then turns southwest to empty into the Pacific Ocean. Bridges cross the canal at McCully Street, Kalākaua Avenue, and Ala Moana Boulevard. Ala Wai Boulevard runs parallel to the west side of the canal in Waikiki.

I book the after dinner tour weeks before my trip and they call you the morning of to try to get you to book earlier. We can't because we have prior plans. Our guide comes late because she is running errands for her boss and then gets lost. Our hotel is on the phone talking to her to help her find her way. She finally arrives 30 minutes late. We don't get any light to see anything because the sun is short in Honolulu (sunset @7:45). Our guide has a lot of knowledge about the local area, I wish things could have been better. I purposely booked it on our first day because I wanted to know about the local area beforehand.
