Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Strollers and care seats are not allowed on board, but can be stored in the ticket booth.
Wheelchair access down the dock to the boat, must be able to manage 3 steps to get on and off the boat. Wheelchair cannot come aboard, it can be stored in the ticket booth. Please advise if assistance is needed.

This narrative 90-minute tour of Newport is a must whether you are staying for a few days or just making a day trip. Our host was entertaining and knowledgeable (the tater tots at the Wharf Pub were life-changing!) and the captain did an excellent job navigating through the crowded waters due to the jazz festival. If you are driving in for the mimosa cruise, allow plenty of time for traffic delays. We missed our morning cruise but the staff kindly rebooked us for the afternoon. If you are driving in for the afternoon cruise, parking can be a challenge. Plan ahead and enjoy!

This cruise is must if you are visiting Newport and looking for a narrative tour. My wife and I took the 12:30 PM cruise on Thursday, August 2nd, a sunny and windy day. We felt very secure on The M/V Gansett, a Restored motorized Lobster Boat. We sat comfortably in the stern section on a cushioned wrap-around bench. Christopher, our guide, was great! One and one half hours of facts, history and insights about the Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay landscape; very informative with a nice touch of humor. Captain Jeff and Crew Hand Trish were both very professional. We have taken many tour boat cruises in many different waterfront cities. This ranks as one of the best.

We had a great time on our harbor cruise. Even my 14 yo son said he enjoyed it. The day we went, the Newport Folk Festival was going on at the fort so we got to float and listen for a few minutes. The guide Johnny was very informative and definitely knew his history of the area. This cruise does not go out and around to see the mansions on the eastern shore like the Breakers, etc. We did see Castle Hill, High meadow and plenty of super yachts upwards of 100 million dollars. Free Del’s lemonade or Coffee Cabinets (milkshakes). The boat was a refinished lobster boat and extremely comfortable.
