This cruise should be called “Patrick’s Opinion on the Harbor Yachts”. 98% of what he talked about was the yachts in the harbor, their owners, and their money. If you want to leave feeling poor without any actual new knowledge on Newport, this is the cruise for you. The description reads, “…sweeping views of Castle Hill, Newport Bridge, and Fort Adams”. He didn’t speak on Castle Hill or Newport Bridge, and the only thing he spoke of on Fort Adams was the festival happening the next day. Fort Adams has an intriguing history as well as Rose Island (which you also pass by on this awful cruise). My seven year old actually turned to me and asked, “When is he going to start talking about the important things?”. If you want to know the actual history on these places, watch the Kindred Spirits episodes on Fort Adams and Rose Island-the host is from/and lives in Portsmouth.

Hello, Im so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your time aboard Gansett this weekend. We strive to provide an informative and fun tour of Newport from the Narragansett Bay and regret to have fallen short of that. As a small business we are able to discuss and implement feedback such as yours swiftly. We hope that you might give us a second chance some time in the future. Thank you for taking the time to give us your honest review and we do hope that you enjoyed the rest of your time in Newport.

Chris was the guide and he was excellent. Very informative and funny. Sawyer was sweet. The captain did an excellent job maneuvering the boat to cause little to no rocking when a fast passing boat caused a huge wake. Oh the drinks were good. We got one of each and they were great. All in all, very very worthwhile experience , in my opinion it’s a must.

Arianna, Zane, and Sydney, thanks for a great tour! Our ride was comfortable and safe courtesy of captain Zane. We learned twice as much about the area than we had on our trolley tour, in about half the time. I might chalk this up to Arianna’s past experience as a social studies teacher and her current experience teaching boat building. She has a fun and well informed presentation style that is engaging to many ages. The information provided spanned time and topics so there was something for everyone. The courtesy beverages served by the industrious and hard working Sydney were a choice between an iced lemonade or a coffee frappe, both surprisingly special and tasty. Altogether a good experience.
