Sail around the Star of India The World’s oldest active sailing ship, the Star of India, is docked at the Maritime Museum of San Diego and is the featured attraction of this special museum.

USS Midway Museum

Sail under the bow of the aircraft carrier Midway for an out-of-this-world experience. The USS Midway Museum is an experience the whole family can enjoy. There are 60 exhibits, dozens of restored aircraft, flight simulators and much more.

Seaport Village

Seaport Village is home to 14 acres of waterfront shopping, dining, and entertainment. You can spend several hours day or night visiting the unique shops and enjoy a delicious meal as you watch the sun go down over the harbor

Amazing day sailing! Capt Philip is the best! I’ve gone on many sailing trips on both coasts. Without a doubt this was the best. The Liberty is a beautiful boat. Strongly recommended to anyone who enjoys sailing and good conversation.

Captain Philip was awesome!! Perfect weather, ice cold beer, and a wonderful sail. The other people that had signed up cancelled so we ended up having the boat to ourselves! Captain Philip was great at engaging and answering our questions, but knew when to sit back and let us have our moments. It was a perfect way to spend the day in San Diego! Highly recommend!

My friend and I booked a Saturday daytime cruise with Captain Phil on the Liberty the afternoon before, since we were unable to get tickets to go on the ferry to Catalina and really wanted to spend some time on the water on one of the first beautiful days of spring. Going out on the Liberty ended up being the highlight of our week! The boat is beautifully restored and Captain Phil and his son were excellent hosts. They even provided snacks, beer and water. We weren’t expecting that and had brought our own snacks and drinks (FYI, you’re not allowed to bring red wine onboard). The other parties on our tour were late (you’re supposed to show up 15-20 min early and the directions the texted us in advance are very clear about the address and how to find the dock), so the Captain would have been well within his rights to leave without them, but he went out of his way to accommodate them and apologized to us profusely for the delay. We ended up leaving dock almost 30 minutes later than our scheduled departure time but Captain Phil stayed out past the time we were due back to ensure that we got to cruise the bay for the full 2.5 hours. It was a perfect day and we would absolutely recommend an afternoon sail on the Liberty!
