Alcatraz Inside and Golden Gate Bridge Express Visit

Overview

Enjoy two same day San Francisco experiences — a round trip express excursion to the Golden Gate Bridge (SF side) by minibus from Fisherman’s Wharf with an assigned time visit inside Alcatraz cellhouse.

Basic Tour departs Fisherman's Wharf to experience 45 minutes at the Golden Gate Bridge (SF side). There is also an option to upgrade in advance to visit the other side of the bridge in addition to San Francisco side or to choose a small group van experience. No food included.

Guests can upgrade to the "Walk The Bridge with Brunch" option where we drop guests at the other side of the bridge to which guests have TWO HOURS to walk back to the San Francisco side. Their efforts are rewarded with a $10 brunch credit and pick up at the Bridge Restaurant.

Light History Narration and Television Monitor Documentaries will be provided.
Guests will be dropped off directly at Pier 33 Alcatraz or Wharf.
Some dates may start with Alcatraz followed by Golden Gate Bridge.

What To Expect

Alcatraz Island

Step back in time and experience the legendary island that has been a civil war fort, a military prison and one of the most notorious federal penitentiaries in US history. This memorable tour includes: 45 minute audio presentation "Doing Time: The Alcatraz Cellhouse Tour," featuring actual correctional officers and prisoners who lived and worked on the Island; orientation video by Discovery Channel; ranger and docent tours; historic gardens and abundant wildlife.

Golden Gate Bridge

Round trip transportation from Fisherman's Wharf across the Golden Gate Bridge (one half hour each way) with a 30 minute stop over for pictures on the other side at Vista Point. Return to Fisherman's Wharf. Total van event is estimated 90 minutes* (allow for traffic/accidents/delays)

Was not assigned a start time or ferry ticket until 2 days prior to event. Confusing instructions in screenshot email attachment with very small font. Confusing meet up location where the hotel has a sign on Jefferson Street as well. Missed the departure by 2 minutes. Did not take the tour and went to Alcatraz on my own.

Good morning! You missed the tour because you were not there on time. The font size on your phone is your setting and does not involve us in any way. The departure point for this tour clearly said 250 Beach Street Hotel Zephyr. It never said Jefferson Street or look for a sign for the hotel on Jefferson Street. Jefferson Street is lined with stores and not one lobby entrance. The hotel was a square with four sides and only one side has a lobby entrance...250 Beach Street as we stated. We also included a picture of the lobby and the planter we ask you to meet us at. 2 minutes too late is 2 minutes too late for our tour.

My favorite part of the visit was the Golden Gate Bridge Express visit. The driver was informative and personal. The express bus was comfortable and clean.

Delicious brunch and views at the Golden Gate Bridge is what is served sunny side up... sometimes foggy side up too! Safe travels home!
